The 64th Mushroom Exhibition

From 10–20 September, the beloved annual Mushroom Exhibition returns to the Estonian Museum of Natural History in Tallinn for the 64th time. This year's exhibition will be the last one held in the museum's Old Town location, as the museum will begin moving to its new home in Noblessner this November.

During the exhibition, visitors can explore a wide variety of mushroom species found in Estonia, including edible, inedible, and poisonous fungi, displayed in the courtyard of the Estonian Museum of Natural History. Museum experts and mushroom consultants will be on hand throughout the exhibition to answer all visitors' mushroom-related questions. The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00.

In addition to the exhibition itself, visitors can take part in a special programme of events (in Estonian) celebrating the fascinating world of mushrooms throughout September:

• Every Saturday and Sunday: Curator-led tours in the exhibition tent.
• 22 August, 13, 19 and 27 September, and 4 October at 11:00: Exclusive mushroom foraging excursions with mycologist and master storyteller Veiko Kastanje.
• 5 September at 11:15: The Estonian Museum of Natural History invites participants to a mushroom foraging trip to Klooga by train as part of the Mushroom Express.
• 18 September at 18:30: Russian-language nature evening, Secrets of the Mushroom Hunt, at the museum.
• 26 September at 11:15: Another Mushroom Express train excursion for mushroom foraging, this time to Saku.

The museum will also offer educational programmes for school groups related to the exhibition themes. More information will be announced soon.

The Estonian Museum of Natural History's Mushroom Exhibition is the museum's longest-running exhibition and one of the longest-running mushroom exhibitions in the world.
