Mysterious Life of Bats: Bat Trip in Kadriorg

Price: 12 €

21:00 - 22:30

The Estonian Museum of Natural History Invites You to a Bat Trip in Kadriorg – Come and Discover the Mysterious Life of Bats!

The Estonian Museum of Natural History invites all nature enthusiasts to explore the fascinating world of bats in Kadriorg Park. The tour will be led by renowned guide and biologist Meriliis Kotkas.

Meeting Point: 9:00 PM at Peter the Great's Cottage Museum (Mäekalda 2).

We will walk around Kadriorg Park and learn more about bats. You will discover what these winged creatures eat, where they hide during the day and in winter, and how to live harmoniously with these charming beings. The trip is suitable for families. To identify bats, we will use an ultrasound detector, which makes the high-pitched sounds of bats audible to human ears and helps determine the species. Each bat species has a characteristic call. With any luck, we will also see bats skillfully flying in the sky or over water, hunting for insects.

What to bring: Please bring a headlamp or flashlight to make it easier to observe the bats.

The trips will take place in dry weather, provided at least 10 people have registered.
